Josephine Douglas, 68, Clermont, passed away May 19, 2012 surrounded by her adoring family. She is survived by her devoted husband James Kuryak and two daughters and closest friends Nancy Eckert & Jodi Vermaas. Also among her treasured family are sons-in-law Brian Eckert & Garry Vermaas; step-children James & Kathy Kuryak, Mary Beth Kuryak, Deborah & Art Bradley, Mark & Janelle Kuryak & Timothy Kuryak. As a committed Christian and devoted wife, Josephine’s legacy of love continues in the lives of her beloved & precious grandchildren Garret, Joyln and Shiya Vermaas; Brian & Jackson Eckert; Grace & Grant Bradley; Sidney Giardino & Jasmine Odair. .

Visitation will be from 1-4 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the funeral home followed by the memorial service at 6:00 PM at South Lake Christian Church, 19455 Villa City Road, Groveland, FL. So sorry to hear of the passing of Ms. Douglas. I knew and worked with her at Christ Church United Methodist in Fort Lauderdale. My children were blessed to have been under her care in the afterschool program. They are now 25 and 30 years old. She must have made an impact on my youngest son as he stated so on his facebook page. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
